Get Involved at Comfort Station

Comfort Station is powered by a community of artists, organizers, neighbors, and volunteers who bring their ideas, interests, and skills to our shared work. Since programming began in our building in 2011, volunteers have played a central role in shaping what Comfort Station is and what we do— from organizing exhibitions, concerts, and film screenings to supporting events, fundraising, and organizational leadership.

We believe volunteering should be more than filling a need or completing a task. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for people to contribute to Comfort Station in ways that reflect their interests, skills, and ambitions, while having a voice in shaping the organization and its future.

We're Reimagining Our Volunteer Program!

As part of a broader period of organizational transition, we're actively restructuring our volunteer program to create clearer, more accessible, and more sustainable pathways for participation. We plan to launch our updated volunteer program in April 2027.

During this time, we are not onboarding new volunteers through our usual process, but we welcome your interest! You can email info@comfortstationlogansquare.org to stay connected and be among the first to hear about new opportunities when the program launches.

Our Commitment to Volunteers

Volunteer participation has been fundamental to Comfort Station's history, but we also recognize that relying on unpaid labor creates barriers to participation. As we rethink our volunteer program, we're considering how to better support the people who contribute their time, creativity, and care to the organization.

We remain committed to expanding our capacity to offer financial support and honoraria where possible, while building a culture of collaboration, transparency, and shared agency.

Stay Connected

In the meantime, one of the best ways to get to know Comfort Station is to attend an event, meet the people involved, and experience what we do together.

If you're interested in becoming involved, please complete the interest form below. We'll be in touch as opportunities become available in 2027.
