Comfort Music: Chicago Sound Bath

Chicago Sound Bath will feature 12 innovative experimental sound artists and performers based in Chicago, each presenting their work in a continuous, immersive experience. Over the course of an hour, the artists will perform together, blending their unique sounds into a seamless auditory tapestry.

The event is designed as an open, flowing experience where attendees can come and go at any time. This format allows for a dynamic and unpredictable auditory journey, with each artist contributing to a collective soundscape that shifts and transforms throughout the night.

The showcase invites the audience to experience the fluidity and spontaneity of live experimental sound making each visit a unique and personal encounter with the sonic possibilities of Chicago's creative community.

Melon Sprout - scintillating ceramic textures and lively kinetic activation

Allen Moore - experimental turntablism

Tina Lefauve - drone of machinery. analog circuits. objects found in tool lockers, railyard gutters, dusty basements 

Pete Pappas - granularly garbled speech and twinkly synthesis

Sarah Lutkenhaus - layered compositions using modular synthesis, field recordings, and vocal improvisation

Gordon Fung - experimental audiovisual performer

Levi Dayan - (mostly) improvised electronic music

Nicole Alonso - Reverb purchases and overdue Affirm payments
