Comfort Music: Ro Lundberg-Zach Good-Zander Raymond

Ro(b)//ert Lundberg makes sound and image, thinks about and drinks water. Now based in Chicago, they have performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe at festivals such as Big Ears and CURRENTS New Media. They perform solo and with outfits ranging from improvising ensembles to art rock bands. Their multimedia artistic work often focuses on the interaction of human infrastructure and the spaces it inhabits. They earned a BFA in jazz performance from The New School (New York) and graduate degrees in science studies and environmental art at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

Zachary Good is a multifaceted clarinetist, chamber musician, and composer based in Chicago. He is the clarinetist of the sextet Eighth Blackbird, a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, and a founding co-artistic director of Mocrep. He is a frequent guest performer with Music of the Baroque Chicago, Present Music Milwaukee, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and the puppet company Manual Cinema. Collaborative albums include releases with Honestly Same (Moon Glyph), ZRL (American Dreams Records), Mocrep (Parlour Tapes+), Lia Kohl (Parlour Tapes+), and Ben Roidl-Ward (Carrier Records). Zachary is a D’Addario Woodwinds Artist.

Zander Raymond is an interdisciplinary artist and musician working in Chicago. His music is rooted in improvisation, utilizing modular synthesizers and open-source sound computers to sample, warp, and build sonic images that embrace non-linear approaches to composition. He’s released music on Moon Glyph, Sound as Language, Florabelle, Cached.media, among others.
