Soapbox: Vim Hile

Workshop Description:

Paper-mache Happenings!

This workshop will be centered around a communal creative process. Together we will learn how to use paper mache to make a small sculpture, puppet, or mask (perhaps something that combines all three). The basic method, which can be easily done at home, with just household items, and some clay, will be shared to inspire self-led paper-mache projects. Each attendee will have the opportunity to create their own piece. All materials will be provided!

Workshop Faciliator info:

Vim G.H. performs, creates, and lives in Chicago, Il. She makes fast, unruly art with her current obsessions being with clown and puppetry. Currently, she is developing a series of face-to-face public performances with fellow co-conspirators. The first happened on June 20th, 2024 at Northerly Island. These performances utilize paper-mache, dance, and music to create whirlwind parades.
