Comfort Film Presents
My Neighborhood: Chicago Films From The Center Cinema Co-Op
Curated and hosted by
Josh B Mabe
This collection of films serves as a bit of a "greatest hits" of Chicago experimental/underground filmmaking in the late 60s and very early 70s. All these films were distributed by the Center Cinema Co-Op, which ran in Chicago from 1968-1976. While most of the films were returned to the filmmakers, most of these prints are from the collection of filmmaker and teacher Tom Deegan and a few others were recovered recently by Chicago Film Society from a local theater.
