Comfort Film Presents

These flowers were for you and other short films by Taylor Yocom

The world premiere of the experimental documentary "These flowers were for you" depicts artist/filmmaker Taylor Yocom's experience of being matched as a bone marrow donor. As a way to document and honor the experience, she narrates her emotional journey and artistic process of grappling with the idea of making work for and about a stranger. Other films in the program touch on issues of femininity, the idea of craft and artistic labor amid a pandemic, and revisiting a project recollecting Maria Schneider's sexual harassment on the set of Last Tango in Paris.
