Join us for Drag Me To Life's inaugural live showcase and first drag storytelling series, Life is a Drag! Hosted by Cindy Nero and featuring Aya LaDaya, Spirit Apotheosis, and Pinky & the BRAINDAMAGE with special guests, Cosmo Dragón and Flaming Homosexual. The show is free and will take place on our public lawn lawn starting at 6:30! Join us for some beautiful stories and refreshments with community. 

Life is a Drag is a showcase for the first ever Drag Me To Life cohort that was taught by Cindy Nero. For 9 weeks, Cindy Nero mentored 7 artists to explore or implement drag into their creative practices. Through this program, she helped other queer and trans individuals to unleash their creativity and power in a way that allows them to take back their voice and share what they have to say. Her drag mentorship centered and focused around storytelling and world building, further teaching how drag can be a conduit for new worlds. 

This program was done in part with community partners Free Street Theater, Palenque Logan Square Neighborhood Association, Gage Park Latinx Council, Comfort Station, and Voice of Purpose.
