About Mukqs
Chicago-based musician and Hausu Mountain co-founder Max Allison records under the name Mukqs. He twists elements of noise, techno, video game music, and free-for-all sample collage into rapidly shifting productions united under the banner of his strictly live, hardware-focused practice. Allison performs with the free music trio Good Willsmith and has an ongoing partnership serving as the beatmaker for Chicago underground rap legend Sharkula. Mukqs music has appeared on labels including Orange Milk, Doom Trip, Jacktone, Husky Pants, No Rent, Umor Rex, Unifactor, Midwich, Phinery, and more.
