Martin is a half-Danish/Hong Kong Chinese songwriter, who creates songs with oddly meandering melodies, yet with lyrics that can be quite shocking or stark. Pared down storytelling which relies mostly on just guitar and words, he takes scenes from everyday life and weaves them into a captivating atmosphere.

This is the release concert for his debut album, and Martin will be accompanied by bassist Anthony Burton.

The album '9 Odd Songs' will be released on all the main streaming platforms, so this is a unique opportunity to hear all songs from the album in the US.

As a member of Palliard, Golden Horse Ranch Band, oRSo, Counterpane, among other bands, Anthony Burton has been a presence on the Chicago music scene for many years. For this event, he will be joined by Justin Brown on pedal steel and Joe Adamik on bass clarinet.
