Soapbox presents: Ndivhuho Rasengani
Ndivhuho Rasengani's work explores transfiguration and construction through deconstruction. There is an acute awareness and utilization of light as a material and change agent. There is a tendency to shift and reshape industrial materials and images in a way that underscores built-in narratives and creates new ones around Afrocentric histories and people.
Soapbox is a series of informal lectures, performances, and works-in-progress presentations from artists in Chicagoland and beyond. The program provides artists the opportunity to “get on their soapbox” and share their work at whatever stage it exists while inviting the community into dialogue with their practice.
