Join Salvador, Brazil based dancer and artist Candai Calmon as a guest artist in this regular weekly dance class. Live drummers keep the beat at this free dance workshop for all ages. Come explore Black history with your body’s movement and rhythm. Calmon’s dance experience includes traditional ballet, african dance, as well as modern and contemporary dance techniques. More recently she has worked with quilombo communities (descendents of escaped slaves) in Brazil focussing on intuitive movement.
