Gira Dahnee is a Chicago musician that  believes that music is a passageway to the metaphysical realm. The conceptual interests of Gira’s work is Afrofuturism: using the past and present to create better futures for people of African descent. Harnessing the concept of feminine goddess power, she discusses sexism, abuse, and uses music as a tool to face and heal from these issues. She also focuses on community development by using music as a force to bring people together. 

Jasmine A Barber, also known as the rapper J Bambii, is an artist, educator, tarot reader, and cartoon-lover from the Southside of Chicago. She is the founder and creator of The Brown Skin Lady Show & the community healing initiative called “Come Together”. Jasmine has also released a tape called “RETROGRADE” under her alias. She currently working on another body of music and more community focused events. 

Jalen Kobayashi is an 18 year old poet/rapper from Chicago, IL. His biggest influences include Das, Kanye West, Andre 3000, and Lil Wayne. He has opened for Das, Pusha T, Macklemore, Common, and Ciara. He currently attends Vanderbilt University where he is completing undergraduate studies at the Peabody College of Education.

Allen Moore is a Chicago based Educator, Curator, Painter, and Experimental Sound Artist. He was born and raised in Robbins Illinois. Allen holds a Masters in Art from Governors State University and a Masters of Fine Art from Northern Illinois University. His work converses with signifiers of Black culture and personal narrative; bringing to view the underlying themes of racial, emotional and socio-economical conditions.
