About Catechism: Catechism is the Chicago based electro-acoustic outfit of Spencer Ouellette. With a focus toward developing sonic spaces that venture away from conventional rhythm and instrumentation, the music of Catechism investigates what lies beyond the boundaries of contemporary composition. Explorations of granular synthesis render images of desolation and saturation simultaneously encased by soundscapes that tow the line between melody and noise.

Screening will be outside on the Comfort Station lawn weather permitting otherwise it will be inside Comfort Station.

The Silent Film and Loud Music Series partners local bands and musicians with Silent Films for a unique film watching experience.
