Viewing Hours - "The Boy Who Chases the Rainbow"

Nov 30th - Jan 4th

"The Boy Who Chases the Rainbow"

Ye Seom (Seomy) Ahn and Samuel Ezra Fisch collaborate in The Boy Who Chases the Rainbow, an allusion to a Korean short novel about a young boy on a journey to catch a rainbow. Utilizing the language of architecture and cartography in the form of mazes, puzzles, and toys, their work explores the act of searching through creative exploration and interactive play.

On his way he saw a lot of boys. Some people were disappointed that they could not catch the rainbow and went home. Some people were delighted with the roof tiles [reflecting the rainbow]. And the other suffered from physical and mental fatigue, crying in despair and pain.

“Oh, the rainbow! It shall not be caught by the hand of man!”
