Paintings by Amadeo Morelos
Opening Reception: Saturday November 3rd, 2018 from 5-8pm
Exhibition dates: November 3rd - 26th, 2018
Amadeo Morelos’ artwork explores the relationship between lust for admiration and the pursuit of empathy. Employing the iconographies and styles of artwork from Ancient Greece, Morelos constructs contemporary mythical autobiographical images. His paintings piteously relate our mundane ephemeral experiences to the glorious spectacle of ancient myths. What is it that brings meaning to one’s life?
Amadeo Morelos was born on October 1st, 1992 in Morelia, Mexico. He received his BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017.
Viewing Hours are on Saturdays from 1:30 to 4:00 PM
