All experience levels are welcome to a discussion and creative workshop led by Poetry Foundation Library Coordinator Maggie Queeney. In October, we explore the ballad, a form derived from popular folk song that narrates a tragic, comic, or heroic story. The group will read and discuss a wide variety of poems and conclude with a guided creative writing workshop, where participants will compose an original ballad.
